Using bio-intensive gardening techniques, James Steele will combine techniques introduced by Alan Chadwick and made popular by John Jeavons, with his own knowledge of gardening in Florida for the past 40 years. This class covers:

    •    How to turn sand into rich loam
    •    Composting
    •    Soil-Water-Fertilizer relationship

  •    Fertilzers and what is really happening below the ground...
  •    Watering - Using this precious resource wisely in your garden
  •    Propagation - Learn tips for seed starting and vegetative cuttings
  •    Insect and Disease Control - Minimize destructive effects safely in sync with nature
  •    Seed Saving
